Birthday in Lights
Don't forget to purchase your student's Birthday in Lights! When it's your student's birthday month, their name will appear on the electronic sign along Ferndale Road. Purchase now to ensure that their birthday makes it on the sign!
Enrollment for the 2024-25 school year opens online Tuesday, Feb. 27 at 8:00 a.m. Whether you’re new to RISD or returning for another year of school, parents can take advantage of convenient online enrollment using a PowerSchool registration account. Enrollment for returning students will require a “snapcode” that will be emailed to current parents on February 26.
Starting Feb. 27, enrollment for next school year will open for all current or future students in Pre-K through grade 12. Please click here for more information about the enrollment process and what documents are necessary to complete enrollment.

Run the Highlands 5K and Fun Run
Saturday, April 27
- The winning school is the LH area public elementary school with the highest percentage of registrants.
- Students in grades K-6 can use the code LHSTUDENT for a registration discount.
- The winning school’s PTA will receive a $500 cash donation.
- The teacher at the winning school whose class has the highest participation will receive a $50 donation towards their Amazon class wishlist!
Following the race will be our annual carnival with bounce houses, a petting zoo, face painting, etc.
Wallace Garden Workdays
We are reaching out to you for help with our school garden workdays. As you may know, our school garden is a crucial part of our community, providing a peaceful and educational space for students and teachers alike.
In our efforts to maintain a healthy garden, we would greatly appreciate your assistance with various tasks. Your expertise in garden care would be invaluable in ensuring the long-term health and productivity of our garden.
